In this post, I am going to show you how to store sugar, for the long term. This will keep your sugar dry, water tight, bug, and rodent free.

HOW TO PREPARE WHITE SUGAR FOR LONG TERM STORAGE
25 pounds white sugar
1 (4 gallon) Square food save plastic buckets with lids, and gasket
4 (1 gallon) Mylar bags
4 (1 gram) Packets desiccant
Each, 1 gallon, mylar bag will hold 6.25 pounds of sugar. Fill each mylar bag, in the following order: Half the sugar, 1 packet desiccant, remainder of sugar. Fold bag, to let air out. Zip bag closed. Place prepared bags into a square, food safe bucket, with gasket in lid. Store in a cool dark place.
