Pineapple Tea


This is a bonus recipe, made from fresh pineapple scraps. I like that I’m getting another use, from the pineapple. No added sugar is a nice benefit, as well. Move over Sweet Tea. Pineapple Tea is in town!



Wash the pineapple thoroughly, before making this recipe. Also, trim as much of the skin, off of the pineapple, as possible.




PINEAPPLE TEA

 

INGREDIENTS:

6 Cups water

Pineapple scraps, rind trimmed, core chopped 

 

DIRECTIONS:

Thoroughly wash pineapple, before slicing. Trim as much rind, as possible. Place pineapple scraps, in a pot of water. Bring to a boil. Turn off heat. Let tea cool, to room temperature. Strain tea. Transfer to a large mason jar. Keep refrigerated.
